and was encouraged to try my hand at one, so here it is:
The Sounds of Peace
The gentle whispering of the breeze
The birdsong high above my head
The noise of tinkling water
The buzzing of the bees
Surrounded by such
Glorious sounds

Pro Hi Ravingmad: That begs me to answer with a smiley, BUT I'm having trouble with text / fonts etc using my Mac. I am fortunate to have a PC and a Mac, (which I use in connection with the voluntary newspaper I do some work for).
Maybe the Safari 4 browser that I'm using doesn't work with the new blog.co.uk editor.
This is written on the Mac & I'll try later on my PC.

It seems that the form of a sonnet has changed considerably. Of course I am recalling the days of the classics.
